Counterfeit Pecorino Romano in the USA. The multinational Lactalis reported

The president of the "Pecorino Romano PDO" consortium has reported the French multinational Lactalis for having improperly used the name "Romano", as well as the very shape of the product and the trademark, for a product that is in reality foreign. The arguments of the PDO consortium were heard by the parliamentary commission of inquiry into counterfeiting last 10 July.
The product was being exported from France to the USA, the main export market for pecorino romano.
